How to get here
Young is less than 2 hours drive from the Canberra area and 4 hours from Sydney.
By Car
Young is situated on the A41 (Olympic Highway) and is less than 2 hours drive from the Canberra area and 4 hours from Sydney.
From Canberra travel north via the A25 (Barton Highway) and join the M32 (Hume Highway) at Yass. Take the signs for Gundagai/Melbourne and either take the B81 (Lachlan Valley Way) exit marked Boorowa and Cowra or the B94 Harden exit. Follow signs to Young.
From Sydney travel along the M32 (Hume Highway) via Goulburn and Yass. Take the exit marked Boorowa and Cowra. Follow signs to Young.
From Brisbane travel via the A39 (Newell Highway) via Dubbo and Parkes. Take the Grenfell exit at Forbes.
From Melbourne take the M31 (Hume Highway) via Albury before joining the A41 at either Wagga Wagga or Gundagai.
By Public Transport
To get to you Young passengers should alight at Cootamundra for onward bus services. The bus arrives in Young from either Dubbo or Bathurst at 11.35am and returns back to Young at 3.35pm from Cootamundra railway station.
Harden Station is in the Hilltops Region and is on the main Sydney to Melbourne line. Direct services operate between both cities and other stations along the line (including Wagga Wagga & Goulburn) to and from Harden daily.

Public transport is limited, however special arrangements have been made for major regional events.
Young Community Transport
Young Community Transport offers a same day return bus services from Young and Boorowa to Canberra and from Young to Wagga Wagga.
Drop off points in Canberra are the three major hospitals, the Jolimont Interchange in Canberra City and the Canberra Airport. Drop off points in Wagga Wagga include medical institutions, the airport and University.
This service to Canberra is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday, whilst the Wagga service is on Tuesday and Thursday. Bookings need to be made directly with Young Community Transport (02 6382 1518) or click here for more information. Cost is $20 for a one way trip

Festival Accommodation
If you are unable to secure accommodation at either the caravan park, B&B or in a motel in Young. Festival goers should try Harden (25 mins from Young), Boorowa (30 minutes from Young) or Jugiong (50 minutes from Young).
