The following roads will be temporarily closed during the 69th National Cherry Festival celebrations. 

Please note temporary road closure times can change without notice. Vehicle detours will be signposted to assist the travelling public.

Anderson Park Entertainment Area

From 6:00am, Thursday 29th November to 5:00pm, Sunday 2nd December: Anderson Park/Railway Station Precinct (internal road Main Street to Lynch Street) will be closed; Lynch Street between Lovell Street and the Railway Line will be closed for the amusements.

Friday Night Carnival in Boorowa Street 

Boorowa Street will be closed from the Lynch Street round-a-bout to the Clarke Street intersection from 3:00pm on Friday 30 November 2018 through until approximately 11:00pm.

Fireworks Display

From 8:00pm to 10:00pm on Friday 30 November:

  • Nasmyth Street between Zouch Street and Lynch Street will be closed.
  • Lynch Street between Lovell and Edwards Street will be closed.

National Cherry Festival AutoPro Car Show

From 7:00am to 4:30pm Saturday 1 December at the AutoPro Car Park. The Roads will be closed from Boroowa Street to Rosemary Lane and part of Rosemary Lane at beginning of car park.

National Cherry Festival Parade

From 3:00pm to 5:00pm Saturday 1 December: Boorowa Street (Zouch Street to Thornhill Street) will be closed.

Marshalling areas at Cloete Street (from Zouch Street to Calabash Street), Calabash Street (from Cloete Street to Junction Street), Junction Street (from Calabash Street to Boorowa Street), Boorowa Street (from Calabash Street to Zouch Street) will also be closed.

Massed Bands (Celtic Tattoo) and Coronation

From 5:00pm to 9:00pm Saturday 1st December: Boorowa Street (between Clarke Street and Main Street) will be closed.

*Please be advised that there will be staff closing sections of road on either side of the above-mentioned times in preparation for the formal temporary closures.
